Fluorescence lifetime imaging ophthalmoscopy, aka FLIO, is positioned to revolutionize neuro-ophthalmology and neurology by providing unprecedented insights into metabolic processes of the retina. The technology behind FLIO has demonstrated advanced potential in diagnosing and managing neurodegenerative conditions such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, as well as glaucoma.

FLIO provides a non-invasive, real-time assessment of retinal metabolism, allowing for early detection of pathophysiologic changes. This enhances the diagnostic process by revealing subtle metabolic alterations which precede structural changes typically observed later in conventional imaging techniques.
